In a new successful collaboration, AMCO INTERDEAL has delivered for AGRICOVER DISTRIBUTION, the market leader in agricultural input distribution, an integrated storage system, optimized for efficiency and flexibility. The particularity of this project lies in the efficient combination of relocating an existing system with implementing a new one.
Challenge
In the context of increasing product volume and diversity, AGRICOVER DISTRIBUTION had a dual requirement: efficient relocation of the existing storage system and complementing it with a new structure. The main challenge was the perfect integration of the two components to create a unified system that offers both large storage capacity and flexibility in managing various product types specific to the agricultural industry.
Technical Solution
Our response to the project’s specific requirements materialized in a complex and personalized solution. We developed an integrated system, where half of the structure comes from relocating the existing system, and the other half consists of new pallet rack shelves. The entire ensemble reaches a height of 9 meters, being designed unitarily to maximize available vertical space. The total system capacity reaches 15,000 pallet locations, with perfect integration between relocated and newly installed components. The modular configuration ensures the necessary flexibility for various logistics operations, and dedicated zones allow efficient organization of different product categories. Regarding safety and efficiency, we paid special attention to inspection and reconditioning of relocated components. We installed new impact protections and implemented a unified marking and identification system. Access corridors were optimized to facilitate efficient operation of handling equipment.
Implementation Process
Implementation took place in two distinct but precisely coordinated phases. The first phase involved relocating the existing system, a process that included careful dismantling, evaluation and reconditioning of components, specialized transportation, and precise reassembly in the new location. The second phase focused on installing the new system and integrating it with the relocated structure, followed by final optimization of the entire ensemble.
Benefits and Impact
This combined solution has significantly optimized the storage processes within AGRICOVER DISTRIBUTION’s central warehouse in Bolintin Deal. By reusing existing infrastructure, we ensured both economic efficiency and a reduced environmental footprint. The system provides maximum utilization of available space and easily adapts to various agricultural product types. The smooth transition between systems allowed maintaining operational continuity, a crucial aspect for the client’s activity. The project represents a perfect example of combining optimization of existing resources with the implementation of new technologies. AGRICOVER DISTRIBUTION now benefits from increased storage and handling capacity, with a modern integrated system, with costs optimized through intelligent reuse of existing infrastructure.
